Ford v. Ferrari By: Rosie 187

Do you like history or racing? OK, let’s get serious, racing history?! If you said yes to any of these things, or all of them, then the movie for you is Ford v. Ferrari.

I come from a racing family. My dad races an English Daimler SP250 in the Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA).

And PaPa, my mom’s dad, raced in the VSCCA for many decades. He raced so many different kinds of vintage race cars that there are too many to mention. But he loves Crosleys and Allards the most. In fact, he owns the one Crosley that raced at Le Mans in the early 1950s!

Recently my family saw the movie Ford v. Ferrari. I personally LOVED ITIt is based on a true story when Ken Miles raced the Ford GT40 in the Le Mans 24 Hour race against Ferrari and the rest of the field.

When I was a little girl I always loved Ferrari so much because they are the queens of a car beauty pageant! I also love their logo the horse.

When I was watching Ford v. Ferrari I thought Ferrari was going to win and - SPOILER ALERT- Ferrari lost and Ford won! Even though Ferrari lost I still love Ferrari and now also love Ford.

The movie is very suspenseful, you don’t know who is going to win or who is going to lose if you don't know your

racing history. My favorite part from Ford v. Ferrari is when Carroll Shelby is driving Mr. Henry Ford II in a new car that Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles built. This is my favorite part because Mr. Henry Ford II looks so scared. Also, Mr. Henry Ford II looks very cramped and funny.

I'm not a racing lover like my family is because I'm a swimmer. I also can’t sit for very long periods of time. But when I was watching Ford v. Ferrari I sat through the whole thing. My mom said I did a great job sitting for two hours and 32 minutes!

Rosemilee is 10 years old and in fourth grade. She is a competitive swimmer on her YMCA team, the Swordfish. She is "wicked fast" and brings home a ton of ribbons each weekend she competes. Her hobbies are swimming for fun, drawing, playing games on her Chromebook, and playing Barbies.
