Itineraries for Walt Disney World: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The author with her family at Disney's Hollywood Studios Park

This park is great for people who love movies. But anyone will love this park because there is so much to do.

The author & her family waiting for the Lightning McQueen Racing Academy to begin.

I recommend starting off with going to Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy because it’s nice for the little ones. Actually, even my dad loved it!

Next, for those who love going fast, make sure to go to Rock’n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith because it is a great ride in the dark!

The author eating at the Brown Derby restaurant with Grandpa & Grandma

My favorite place to have lunch is The Brown Derby. You never know who you’re going to see in there. We came across the Mayor who handed us a one-hundred-dollar bill with his picture on it! He was very friendly, funny, and a great part of the lunch! The food was great, too!

Don’t miss the Voyage of The Little Mermaid. It’s a neat show with a live Ariel who sang. It was really cool!

Spend time at Walt Disney Presents. It is about Walt Disney. I had read a biography about Walt Disney on my way down to Florida. This place was great to see pictures and learn more about him.

Head over to Slinky Dog Dash, it’s a little kid roller coaster for those who are too young or scared of the Rock ‘n Roller Coaster. Definitely get a Fastpass.

A glimpse of Toy Storyland

While there, go to Toy Storyland. Going to Toy Story Mania is a must! It’s a great ride, one that I never get tired of going on.

The author's mom belting out "Let it Go" during A Frozen Sing Along Celebration

For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing Along Celebration is the greatest thing in the world because it’s Frozen! I sang along with the characters and I loved the fake snow!

The author's dad chosen as an extra in Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!

The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is one of the oldest shows at Hollywood Studios, and is still a great show! My dad has been an extra twice! Each time it is a little different.

A lot of Star Wars characters at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Star Tours The Adventures Continues is a 3-D awesome ride. You don’t have to be a Star Wars fan to be a fan of this ride!

Make sure to visit Muppet*Vision 3-D. This makes parents, grandparents, and kids all laugh!

For thrill-seekers go to The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror. My family never lets me go because they are all a bunch of scaredy-cats!

Waiting for Fantasmic to start. Get your seats early!

Be sure to stay until the end of the night for the show Fantasmic! It is my favorite show out of the four parks and is so much more than just fireworks.

Itineraries for Walt Disney World: EPCOT Part 2

Future World is fun, and so is World Showcase! They are both my favorite. I really like EPCOT!

The author in EPCOT with her family.

Start off with going to Norway for the Frozen Ever After. *Note - get a Fastpass for this ride because this ride is so popular. I really like it because it was really cool.

Next go back to Mexico for the ride Gran Fiesta Tour Staring The Three Caballeros. Then go to lunch at the San Angel Inn. This is a great place to be because of the shopping, the great restaurant, and a fun ride.

Head Over to China for Reflections Of China. This is a short film showing China's cities and countryside.

Go to Germany for the snacks and the nice shops.

Big brother Matt & his pretzel from Germany in EPCOT. It's as big as his big head!

Then go Italy  for some light shopping.

Now go to The American Adventure for The American Adventure Show.

In Japan you don't want to miss out on the shopping. They have a large department store and I found a lot I wanted there. My favorite character from Japan is called Rilakkuma and means cute bear. I bought a journal and a keychain with the cute bear on it. I also got the coolest set of miniature colored pencils, too!

Rilakkuma
Enter Morocco and enjoy the tile that is used here. Have a meal and see a belly dancer. Morocco has a lot of great shopping. I'm not posting a picture of belly dancers because you have to go there to see them!

Puis go to France for Impressions DE France. This short film showed a lot of the country of France. I thought it was beautiful.

Make your way over to the United Kingdom for more light shopping. Get a picture in the red phone booth!

End your trip around World Showcase by going to Canada for the O Canada Show. You have to stand to watch the 360 degree movie. It was really cool.

End off the day with Reflections Of Earth, the fireworks and laser show at the end of the night in EPCOT. *Note - a great place to sit is Canada.

Thank you for reading about EPCOT. My next piece is going to be about Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Itineraries of Walt Disney World: EPCOT Part 1

EPCOT means Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. It is so big that I will write about it in two blogs.

The first area you come to when you arrive at EPCOT is Future World. It has a lot of rides that are fun. This part of the park can take one full day to explore. Here are my suggestions.

  • Start off with Mission:Space. Note the Green mission is less intense then the Orange mission. When I was there in April I took the Orange Mission to Mars with my mom, my brother Greg, and my Grandma. It was stressful and I was scared! I like it, it was fun, but small children should go to the Green Mission like my dad, my brother Matt and my Grandpa did because it wasn’t so extreme.
  •  Make your way to Test Track for some super-fast fun. Note the lines are shorter for single riders. I went on this attraction twice, once with my family and once alone because I did the single rider line, although my brothers were in line with me. The best part about this ride is it is fast!
  • Fastpass Spaceship Earth because it is original.

  • Head over to The Seas with Nemo and Friends for lunch at the Coral Reef. They have a beautiful view of the aquarium while you dine.

  • After lunch stay in The Seas with Nemo and Friends for the attraction of the same name. Then go to Turtle Talk with Crush. This is an interactive conversation with the audience that is different every time because the character Crush really talks to the audience!
  • Be sure to go to The Land for the attraction Living with the Land for a nice relaxing boat ride. It’s interesting to know that the fresh produce served at Walt Disney World is grown here.
  • Use another Fastpass for Soarin’ Around the World to go places you have never been before. The top row is the best seat to feel you are truly flying.
  • Go to IMAGINATION! for Journey into Imagination with Figment. This is my favorite place in Future World. Figment is a lovable character and I love him the best! Stay for Imageworks Labs. Have your picture taken as a Disney Princess or a Star Wars or Pirate character!

  • Stay in IMGINATION! for the Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. It’s a great place to cool off, rest your feet, and enjoy some classic Pixar short films.

Next, join me for Part 2 of EPCOT when I explore World Showcase!
